Who is Angie?
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I initially wanted to go to college far from home. But my dad is an alum of the architecture program, so I always knew about Illinois Tech. When I finally stepped on campus and explored the program, I knew this was where I wanted to be. Ever since, I’ve gotten unique, hands-on, industry-driven instruction and hands-on opportunities that have prepared me to hit the ground running in my career.
That’s Interesting
One of my current studio professors is a working architect at a pretty large firm in downtown Chicago, and one of the unique perspectives he provides to me is the more realistic, technical side of architecture. He’ll look at my project and give me feedback on whether that would meet the zoning codes or the building codes.
